Thank you for your interest in the Baltimore Elementary and Middle School Library Project. Below you will find a number of great ways you can partner with us and make a difference in the lives of Baltimore City students. Each funding level corresponds with a specific component of the project, but don’t feel limited to these. The options are endless! | $100 | Buys 10 brand-new hardback library books from the school’s library wish-list. |
| $200 | Provides video camera for use in library on instructional projects. |
| $500 | Provides a class set of “reading buddy” stuffed animals that can be used for younger children to practice reading out-loud to in the library space. |
| $1,000 | Purchases listening stations at a school so kids can use technology to practice reading by listening to correct pronunciation. |
| $1,500 | Sponsors part of the Book Drive in partnership with Baltimore Reads to ensure new libraries and classrooms are filled with new books. |
| $3,750 | Allows every student in the school to take home and keep three books for their home library. |
| $5,000 | Sends a school librarian to all State and National Library Association conferences for one year in an effort to promote continuing education and networking opportunities. |
| $10,000 | Funds the project management of assessing current library collections, identifying gaps, and securing books to round out each library collection. This cost covers four schools. |
| $20,000 | Funds the Library Utilization and Impact Evaluation for one school in order to understand the importance each library plays and contribute to stronger projects in the future. |
| $35,000 | Provides funding to be used for one year’s salary for a Library Aide. The individual will assist the librarian work with parents, keep library collection up-to-date and organized, assist students with checking out and returning books weekly and other applicable duties. |
| $40,000 | Purchases essential technologies for the library including computers and smartboards for instructional use. |
| $50K- $100,000 | Would provide other staffing support in schools that could assist the project in many ways and can be discussed with those interested further regarding specific needs. |
